Introduction
For Lori, walking with people on the road to healing and recovery is not a career choice but a passion. Lori works with clients of all ages, specifically helping those who suffer from grief, trauma, and PTSD. She is EMDR certified, specializing in helping those suffering from anxiety, panic attacks and attachment issues to find relief and healing. She has spent several years leading a Wounded Heart Group for women who are survivors of sexual abuse. Her ability to address difficult issues with kindness and a gentle fierceness allows clients to process life in a safe place. Lori Hooven earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health from Trevecca University after spending ten years working in marketing and fifteen years at home raising her children. While her vast life experience makes her easy to relate to and has given her a broad knowledge base, her Master’s education honed her abilities to reach those battling addiction and co-occurring mental illness. Lori effortlessly connects with men and women, both in therapeutic groups and individual sessions. Lori has been a lifelong Tennessee resident. She resides in Nashville with her husband, Jeff, and their two teenage children.
